ABOUT ATTORNEY RYDER
Before starting his own practice in 2020, Attorney Kenneth ("Billy") Ryder worked in both private practice and at the Wisconsin State Public Defender's Office. Attorney Ryder has been the elected President of the Ashland and Bayfield County Bar Association since 2020.
Attorney Ryder earned his Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School, with honors for his pro bono service. As a law student, he served as a legal intern for the Honorable Frederick Rosa in the Milwaukee County Circuit Court, a felony gun court. This experience sparked his interest in criminal law. He went on to gain real-world legal experience under Wisconsin's Student Practice rule, and performed legal internships with the Sheboygan County District Attorney's Office and the Wisconsin State Public Defender's Office (Juvenile Division) in Wauwatosa.
Attorney Ryder's practice is primarily focused on criminal defense in Ashland County, Bayfield County, and Iron County.
Before attending law school, Attorney Ryder earned his Bachelor's degree, cum laude, from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
